Other Navigation

Other buttons within TaxACT allow you to dig deeper into your tax return, explore your filing options, and seek in-depth help & additional information.

These buttons consist of the following sections:

Links in Upper Corner

Print

If you want to print a copy of your return, print individual forms, or have a printing-related question, you'll quickly find the information you need here.

E-file

Your one-stop location for all Electronic Filing (E-file) functions, information, and help topics.

My TaxACT

My TaxACT is where you will find information pertaining to your TaxACT account, including your contact information, payment information, fees and much more. This is also where you will go to update your password, e-mail address, and other personal preferences.

Sign Out

When you are ready to stop working with your tax return, click the 'Sign Out' button to save your return and securely exit the TaxACT application. You may return to and resume your tax return at any time and from any computer - just Sign In and continue where you left off.

NOTE: - For your convenience, your tax return is continually saved at every step in the tax-preparation process - no interaction required. The 'Sign Out' button should only be used to ensure you securely exit the TaxACT application and save your return at the point of exit.

 Topic List

The Topic List lets you view and navigate to every step within your TaxACT return. Laid out using the familiar explorer tree format, you can easily drill down and go directly to any topic in the TaxACT application. Handy graphical indicators show you the steps you have visited and pertain to your tax return.

At any time, you may also go directly to any topic within your tax return using the drop-down menus off the Main Tabs / Steps.

 Forms List

View a comprehensive list of all tax forms and schedules, worksheets, and received documents handled by the TaxACT application. Every entry is linked directly to the specific section within the TaxACT Interview; just click and go.

Using the familar explorer tree format, you can quickly drill down and see which forms and schedules do and don't contain information specific to your tax return.

Help Center

Are you stuck and need assistance? Start here to find the infomation you need. The Help Center is organized into 3 main catagories:

• Getting Started - contains high-level documentation about the TaxACT application, including System Requirements, Version Information, FAQs, Browser / Connection Issues, and more.
• Help with Tax Questions - have a specific tax question? Seeking tax advice? All the resources you'll need to find the answers your tax questions are contained here.
• Help with using TaxACT Online - Find your way around your TaxACT tax return. Topics covered include Navigation, Importing, Preparing and Filing your TaxACT tax return, and Checking Your E-filing Status.
